| It's been a while since I've done a beauty breakdown, so today I decided to share what I used to create one of the makeup looks I created on Disney star Sofia Carson. Sofia is a singer/actress from the Disney show Descendants. She had a popular single, so I was contacted to do her makeup and hair for her press tour of performances, fan meet & greets and several TV interviews. She likes a classic beauty look, so I kept this makeup style very simple and fresh to enhance her face without over powering it. I wasn't paid to mention these makeup items. These are what I keep in my kit or used to create her look. So here you go! |
| The key to creating this look is blending with no harsh lines, and no heavy contouring. Even the highlight and eyeshadow shimmer that was used buffed with fluffy brushes, to ensure it looked like dewy glowing skin instead of layers of thick makeup. But no matter what makeup products or technique I used to create her look, it all starts with proper skin care. Before applying facial treatments I remove all traces of dirt. Keihl's Herbal Infused Miscellar Cleansing Water is a great way to gently remove impurities and old makeup without rubbing or scrubbing, which can cause hyper pigmentation and discoloration. Since most of the talent that I work on do a lot of travel, their skin can get dry. I like to use masks to boost the face with extra hydration before I apply any serums or moisturizers. As a skincare fanatic, I carry a variety of options in my kit. Recently I was introduced to a few products from INNISFREE. This Korean beauty line has fantastic sheet masks that I keep in my kit now. They also have others that I want to try, like the Pore Clearing Color Masks which will brighten, vitalize and soften your skin. |

| I didn't use those exact skin care products on Sofia because I needed to go with the items her dermatologist prescribed for her, but this gives you an idea of what I normally like to do before adding any makeup to the skin.
