Do you know what really excites me about Winter? The pretty snow? No. I actually hate the cold. The fashion and the body products. In particular, the kind of products that moisturize.

I know that there are good products like that in the Spring and Summer too, but that’s the time when you’re trying to take off as much as possible. Not put it on. For me? I like to snuggle myself with as many layers of hydrating body products as I can. Just like a Winter coat.

I can’t help it.

If you remember in my Day 2 post, I talked about how dry as crackers my body can get. So, I was stoked to get my hands on the Caudalie Divine oil.

I don’t know why I didn’t know about this brand before. I guess I’ve been living under a rock or something. But, the first time I heard about Caudalie was from a fellow makeup artist, Lottie, during a Periscope discussion about her favorite makeup artist kit supplies.

So, when one of my clients surprised me with a gift bag of various skin and body products from Caudalie, which included the oil. It was like the heavens were trying to tell me something. I think it was saying “I’m sick of looking at your ashy knees”, so I started using it immediately.

When I removed the top to the oil, I was surprised to see that it was a spray. Very convenient, but truthfully I guess I envisioned a pour spout. It contains a combination of 3 oils, grape, argan and sesame. Sounds like it would be a thick, right? That’s what I thought too, (hence pour spout). It’s not. It sprays out like a veil of happiness (with benefits of anti-oxidants) on your skin.

You’ll love it. But, I must warn you. If you’re like me, when you like something “More is better” can become your motto.

For this. Um. Don’t.

The first time I used it, I slathered it on like I was trying to win a butt naked race down a slip and slide. Well, the Divine oil may FEEL like it’s light weight, but it’s not watered down. That also means the lovely rosy and woody notes of its scent isn’t watered down either.

Not only did I waste a lot of the product, by going over board. I also nearly fried my nose hairs from the scent.

Do you know the difference between an eau de toilette and a parfume? It’s like comparing a cooler to some Jack Daniels. (now you understand)

Caudalie is known for having amazing high quality ingredients. It’s the real thing. So a little dab will do ya! Well, maybe a little more than a dab, but you get my drift.

Let’s just say, you don’t bathe in it. That’s what their body scrub is for. But that’s another story, for another post.
